Due to its length, the stick is used as an extension of the arm to move the horse's forehand and hindquarters while ensuring rider safety.
A stick equipped with a flag allows the horse to get used to the movement and noise of objects in its environment. A calm horse will focus more easily on its rider's requests. Once your horse accepts the movement of the flag at a standstill, you can use it as a communication tool during exercises in motion.
