The weight of the equipment plays an essential role in the precision of exchanges between rider and horse.
During the first stages of learning, we recommend using a standard 14 mm lead rope: more present in the hand, it makes it easier for the horse to understand pressure and release.
As the horse progresses and becomes more refined in its responses, it is natural to seek to gain in lightness and subtlety.
This is where the 10 mm lead rope becomes the ideal tool:
- Lighter, it allows for more subtle requests and refined precision work.
- It supports the search for lightness, essential for finer and more respectful communication.
The 10mm lead rope is for Equifeel riders who want to perform. Less risk of breaking the elastic with a lighter rope.
The ability to change the carabiner allows you to optimize the weight of the equipment and adapt it to your practice.
Thanks to its reduced weight, the lightweight 10 mm lunge line is easier to handle, even during long groundwork sessions.
It offers a fluid feel in the hand, reducing muscle fatigue.
It thus becomes a valuable asset for riders who, for reasons of comfort or health, prefer lightweight and
maneuverable equipment.

As part of our commitment to sustainability, all our snap hooks are removable.
For the lightweight 3.70m lunge line, we recommend the trigger snap hook to maintain the benefits of lightweight equipment.
For young horses undergoing training, we recommend our standard 14mm diameter lunge line with a safety snap hook (heavy 172g snap hook).
The firefighter snap hook is the most commonly used for 7m lunge lines.
We recommend hand-washing with soapy water to preserve the integrity of your rope.
You can also care for your lanyard by:
- cleaning it with a shower jet with a little pressure
- machine washing it for 30 minutes at 30°C and 800-900 RPM, in a net and a full machine.
To maintain the safety carabiner, grease it regularly with lithium grease or WD40 white grease.
For the durability of the leather popper, it is recommended to grease it regularly.
